News from a home city

The first thing I would like to share  are the recent events in St-petersburg. The article is in russian, but I'll clarify the situation for english-speakers.St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko has appealed to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin with an unprecedented request. It is proposed to delete St-Peterburg from the list of historic settlements, not to negotiate with the construction documents Rosokhrankultura. The thing is, that the government wants to get money from construction companies, who are now limited in their actions because of  Law.
I think it was an inadmissible action and the Governer who really love and care about the city wouldn't have done such a horrible action.
